Twitter cashing in on popularity by offering commercial business accounts
Twitter seems to be the current popular online social medium, for those of you who don't know Twitter offers a social network service that lets you tell people what you are doing at any given moment. Twitters 'tweet' about anything, from what they are having for lunch to what they thought about a TV program they've just watched. When this type of service first came to public knowledge it was seemed to be incredibly nonsensical but surprisingly IT has become very popular, not only for private individuals but for business as well. Some business are finding that using Twitter can bring a closer relationship to their clients, with this in mind Twitter is soon to offer paid for commercial accounts which will provide features not available to casual users.
Twitter has been around for about three years and as yet they have not made much money from their invention but with the explosion of popularity of Twitter it seems revenue generation is now a key target for the company. With the company turning down a $500 million buyout from Facebook it seems that Twitter is set for great things in the future.
